The British government is prepared to move forward with employing the total value of immobilized Russia's funds to support the Ukrainian defense operations, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the Britain, France, and Germany asserted that this unified step would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel the Russian Federation to engage in negotiations.

They further noted that the move would be executed in strong partnership with the America.

United Kingdom penalties have immobilized more than £25bn of Russia's assets since Russia initiated its widespread offensive against Ukraine in 2022. But, until now, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had exclusively been drawn from earnings and returns accrued on them.

Sir Keir told Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were aligned in their aim to push forward toward using the complete amount of the frozen Moscow's national holdings to conclude the conflict.

He stated that additional sanctions over the next period would heighten the tension on the Russian government.

This declaration comes after European leaders met in the Danish capital previously to debate utilizing frozen Russian funds for a €140bn loan to Ukraine.
